Finally got a monitor attached to the RM. Using a Philips CM8833-II.
Machine boots to its welcome disk, so I can now play Worms and Trains! 🙂

Wouldn’t that monitor be normally used with an Amiga or C64? What kind of video output does this PC have?
This pc has a TTL RGB output. Its like CGA/EGA. The philips monitor supports TTL as well as analog RGB and composite video.
What cable did you use to hook up this monitor to the screen? I’ve got a Nimbus PC1 but the RM 1404 monitor that came with it doesn’t work. Any clues as to pinouts for the machine and the screen would be greatfully received 🙂 I might be able to make up my own cable for it.
Hi – the pin outs can be found here. http://www.retrocomputers.eu/?page_id=684
CGA type monitors are best as the RM outputs TTL RGB (R,G,B,Hsync,Vsync, bright, ground)
Hi – I remember these from school days. Any chance of a video of Worms and Trains and some of the operating system and/or other programs? I’m sure others would be interested in seeing it all again. Do you remember an educational game called Hazard? If you have the time, please email me and let me know theaddyforotherstuff [at] yahoo [dot] co [dot] uk Thanks!
I will upload some videos in the New Year.
