  1. Hi Andy, Good news, I have managed to trace back to the company where this programmer came from, they were able to supply me with a zip file containing a copy of the original install & setup files taken from an archive drive, – a small donation to a charity and I have it – Please email an address I can send it to. Although it installed on XP it did not initially work, I had to set the Parallel port to ECP, I then tried to move to a second XP machine where it still fails to talk. Using Win98 (again setting port to ECP) gave no problems, the moral here is read the readme files…. Eventually I formatted a small drive with XP, NO SERVICE PACKS, and all is harmony.

  2. Hello everyone! sory my bad english (google translate)
I have a portable programmer LV40 that this copy of the program posted here through the efforts of Andy (WinLV v2.0.0009) sees the programmer, self test ok, then “missyng or bad library” error .
I think the internal programmer library should comply with that from the program. I read the pdf manual and I think it requires “PC software utility” and ” LV40 Exchange utility software” that you do not find
    Please can someone help me?

  3. Hi there,

I am guessing that this issue remains unresolved ?
I have recently acquired a Micromaster LV, and a copy of WinLV version 2.0.009
By the look of the comments in here, I am wasting my time trying to get them to communicate with each other, even though the red power light comes on when I connect the parallel port – but that was with the software installed on a Windows 10 machine.
I don’t mind installing on a Win98 or XP machine, if that would cure the problem, but if they are never going to work then its pointless.
Is the “previous version 1.0” referred to by Gian the answer to this problem ? If not, does anybody know of the name and /or version number of the software which was originally delivered with these programmers ?

    Regards

    Fred

    1. The LV40 software only works from a legacy ISA port (278/378) – USB to printer port dongles are not recognised by this software. I also had to set the port type in the bios to get the LV40 (2009?) to work properly. (can’t remember which actual setting I used but there’s only a few) ‘EPP’ etc – so trial and error!

  4. Hi All,
I have just got my old version Micromaster LV working with a computer running Win XP SP3. Here is a link to WinLV version 1.0.0241 dated 12-Nov-2003 that seems to work OK. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AhkSMl1ocLBfj39bHM3za0m9dvaz
It is stored on my OneDrive so grab it and share it!
The programmer passes all the self-tests, recognises various TTL chips and reads from EPROMs. I’ve not tried programming any chips with it yet.

    All the best, Alan

  5. Hi, I have a Micromaster 48, which version is known to work with it? I have version 1.0.0205 and it won’t communicate, thanks, Anthony.
